Oxford, Pa. – (October 26, 2026) – Children, parents, and families are invited to an afternoon of free activities and community resources at the upcoming Growing Families Community Celebration on Friday, November 6, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Oxford Presbyterian Church.
The event, hosted by the Maternal and Child Health Consortium and the office of state Senator Carolyn Comitta, will include free games, story times, raffles, and engaging activities for babies and children.
“Expanding upon our successful Community Baby Shower in Oxford last year, the Maternal and Child Health Consortium and I are glad to welcome even more southern Chester County area families to this event,” said Comitta. “Whether you are a first-time parent or just want to bring the kids out for a fun afternoon, we hope you can join us on November 6 at the Oxford Presbyterian Church.”
Nearly 20 local community organizations will be in attendance to discuss resources available to families and children in southern Chester County.
“Every baby deserves a healthy, joyful beginning. When our community comes together, families know they are welcomed and supported,” said Milena Lanz, executive director of the Maternal and Child Health Consortium of Chester County.
Comitta, who serves on the Senate Education Committee and the Pennsylvania Women’s Health Caucus, remains a strong supporter of investing in childcare and early childhood education, ensuring safe schools and communities, protecting maternal health and reproductive health, and promoting the overall health, well-being, and growth of children and young people in the Commonwealth.
The Oxford Presbyterian Church is located at 6 Pine St, Oxford, PA 19363
